What are Flower Remedies?
The flower remedies I prescribe were developed in the 1930s by Dr Edward Bach, a physician and homeopath who believed that the key to good health was by emotional harmony. By 1936 he identified 38 flower essences, each one derived from a different wild flower, plant or tree, and each corresponding to a specific emotion.
Dr Bach believed the complete system, which capture the positive potential of the plants they’re created from, offered a holistic approach to achieving emotional balance. The system is designed so that the essences can be tailored to meet each person’s individual needs, so that they can be taken individually, or in combination.
Like Dr Bach, I believe that healing on an emotional level has knock-on effects on other levels: a healthy emotional life and a balanced personality will allow your body to find its own natural state of health.
“All we have to do is to find what is wrong with our nature and to take the herb which corresponds to this” – Dr Edward Bach, 1933
Flower remedies are available to buy in a number of places and you are able to self select a remedy based on how you are feeling. If you feel the selection process is overwhelming, you may value the support of a practitioner, so feel free to call me to arrange an initial consultation and prescription.
During the detailed consultation we can consider additional pro health options to support the process.
