Therapies

Aromatherapy Massage is a deeply calming, sensory-rich treatment tailored to you. A bespoke blend of essential oils is chosen to support emotional balance, ease tension and gently regulate the nervous system. Massage pressure is always adapted to suit you, from slow, light and soothing to deeper, more therapeutic work, supporting vagal tone and helping the body shift from stress into rest and restoration.

Craniosacral Bodywork is a subtle, non-invasive therapy that supports the body’s natural rhythms and self-regulating capacity. Using gentle therapeutic contact rather than forceful manipulation, the nervous system is encouraged to settle and rebalance. This can allow long-held patterns related to stress, injury or illness to soften and reorganise, often leaving you feeling deeply calm, spacious and supported.

Indian Head & Shoulder Massage focuses on areas where tension and mental load commonly accumulate, the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face – especially around the jaw muscles. Pressure is adapted to suit your needs, helping release tension, quiet the mind and support nervous system balance and ease.

Therapeutic Massage is a responsive, collaborative treatment designed to support pain relief, tension release and overall wellbeing. I blend a range of massage techniques, and understand whether you benefit from deeper, more targeted work or a lighter, more relaxing approach. This supports circulation, mobility and nervous system regulation, allowing the body to soften out of habitual holding.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a gentle, rhythmic technique designed to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system. Draining the facial lymphatics can enhance the effectiveness of Indian Head Massage techniques and help achieve longer-lasting, visible results. As a full-body treatment, it works to clear toxins and restore balance, while also helping to reduce mild to moderate oedema caused by injury, immobility, or prolonged periods on the feet. Deeply relaxing in nature, the repetitive, soothing motions often create a calming, almost hypnotic experience. This gentle, non-invasive treatment can be performed directly on the skin or through a light towel.

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy working through specific points on the feet that are said to correspond to different systems of the body, and seeming to impact the nervous system. Pressure is always adapted to suit you, making the treatment both effective and deeply relaxing. Reflexology can help reduce stress and encourage the body’s own restorative processes.

Thai Foot Massage is a grounding and revitalising treatment focused on the feet and lower legs. Drawing on elements of reflexology and traditional Thai massage, with vigorous movements and pressure. The treatment supports circulation, eases fatigue and promotes a sense of lightness and flow throughout the body.

All treatments can be enjoyed on their own or thoughtfully combined to create a deeper, more immersive experience. Sessions are flexible and responsive, allowing time for the body and nervous system to settle, restore and integrate.

Face-to-face sessions are available in West Berkshire at Theale Wellbeing Centre. You can book by WhatsApp: 07928 995653, email: jayne@thequietway.com, or via the contact form.

Aromatherapy is both an art and a science, working with naturally extracted plant essences to support balance and wellbeing of body and mind. Essential oils are carefully selected based on your needs and intentions, and can be used through inhalation (via an Aromastick), within massage, or both. Your bespoke blend is designed to support mood, ease stress and gently regulate the nervous system. Any unused oil can be taken home, allowing the benefits of the treatment to continue beyond the session.

Flower Remedies, including Bach flower essences, work gently yet effectively with emotional states such as stress, overwhelm, low mood or emotional fatigue. During an initial consultation, we explore your current experiences and responses, and create a bespoke prescription tailored to you. Remedies can be taken orally and may also be added to your massage oil, helping to anchor their effects through the body and nervous system. This offers subtle, ongoing support between sessions.

Subtle energy work is a deeply restorative approach that supports your body, mind and nervous system to settle, release tension and reconnect with a sense of inner calm. Using gentle, non-invasive techniques, it encourages the body’s natural intelligence to regulate itself, helping to ease stress, quiet the mind and nurture emotional balance.

Whether experienced as a quiet, stand-alone session or woven into a massage-based treatment, subtle energy work offers a sense of spaciousness and ease that permeates the whole body. Many clients notice a feeling of lightness, clarity, and subtle alignment that can continue long after the session ends.

Practices such as Reiki and Spiritual Healing are examples of this work, offering pathways for energy to flow and for the nervous system to downshift. These techniques are gentle, deeply nurturing and adaptable — they can be integrated into aromatherapy or therapeutic massage sessions, enhancing relaxation, supporting vagal tone, and allowing the body to fully receive the benefits of the massage.

This approach is also perfect for bespoke bundles, combining massage, guided relaxation, meditation, or even yin yoga. For example, a session might include a therapeutic massage infused with subtle energy work, followed by a short meditation, or be part of a longer restorative immersion incorporating yoga nidra. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your needs, offering flexibility to create an experience that nourishes and leaves you feeling grounded and replenished.

Meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and guided visualisation strategies offer simple yet profoundly effective ways to calm the mind, regulate the nervous system, and bring a sense of clarity and presence to everyday life. By slowing down and tuning into breath, sensation, and awareness, these sessions help ease tension, reduce stress, and support emotional balance.

A key benefit of these practices is their positive impact on vagal tone — the body’s internal system for rest, repair, and regulation. As the nervous system settles into a more balanced state, the effects ripple through the whole body: inflammation can be reduced, the hormone system finds greater equilibrium, and other systems of the body function more harmoniously. This makes mindfulness and meditation not only deeply restorative but also supportive for overall health, wellbeing, and the management of chronic conditions.

Sessions are adaptable and personalised, including guided meditation, breathwork, visualisation, and gentle awareness exercises, all tailored to your needs and experience level.

These sessions can be booked as stand-alone experiences, either face-to-face or online, or combined with bodywork for a deeply integrative approach. They can also be integrated as supportive tools within my Wellbeing Coaching service, helping you embed practical strategies for calm and resilience into daily life.

Whether taken alone, or layered with massage, energy work, or yoga, these sessions create the conditions for the nervous system to settle, supporting long-term balance, vitality, and a deeper sense of wellbeing.

Bespoke 15 or 20 minute recordings can purchased directly with me.
