Wat Pho, Bangkok and massage in Chiang Mai. Thailand 2019

After the meditation retreat I travelled back to Bangkok and had time to visit the wondeful Wat Pho and Reclining Buddha before heading north to Chiang Mai. I adore the Reclining Buddha, last visited 27 years ago.

Wat is the Thai name for temple and Wat Pho is the largest in Bangkok, next to the Royal Place. I visited towards the end of the day, less busy and so expeienced a greater sense of peace.

A night train to north Thailand to the second largest city Chiang Mai. Then followed a week of masterclasses in massage.

Thai yoga massage and thai foot massage of course and learning new techniques, with Tok Sen massage and blending with herbal balm and oil massage. Deeply nourishing treatments that I am excited to share with you.

I visited many more temples in and around Chiang Mai and visited the Massage School for the Blind, a school I habe wanted to visit for year.

I was fortunate to attend a beautiful workshop of restorative yoga and therapeutic touch with essential oils. It was deeply relaxing and inspiring. I am developing ideas for similar workshops and retreats, so will keep you posted when I have dates and venues organised.
