Following the Awakening Leadership training I head to Bangkok tomorrow to catch a train south to Surat Thani. A port town and gateway to some of the infamous islands off the east coast. Islands I first visited some 27 years ago!
I am heading for Wat Suan Mokkh International Dharma Hermitage, to attend a 10 day silent Vipassana retreat.
The Suan Mokkh International Dharma Hermitage was founded by the Venerable Ajahn Buddhadasa in 1989.
The retreat allows us to withdraw from our usual activities to a quiet and secluded place and devote our time to study, contemplation and meditation. Besides practising meditation, we will get an introduction to other aspects of the Buddha’s teaching, including the Four Noble Truths which include the Noble Eightfold Path.
