The natural follow on from visiting the spiritual temples at Angkor Wat was to immerse in practice again, with an integral yoga meditation retreat, nestled in the jungle within a trditional Cambodia village.
At Hariharalaya, the focus was to develop the skills to live a balanced and inspired life through yoga practice – asana, breathing and meditation – as well as yoga philosophy. The approach to yoga was focused on cultivating presence and awareness in all aspects of daily life.
With a blend of hatha yoga asana, mindfulness of breath, pranayama, meditation practice, dhamma and chanting an absolutely delicious experience.
Fun, laughter, dancing, divine vegan meals, wonderful teachers, locals and other seekers, the icing on the cake.
The highlights, aside from the practices, were numerous: the purifying fire ceremony, monk’s blessing, riding a bicycle around the local village and meeting Joel and his team.
Home for the retreat, bamboo hut with hammock. Beyond garteful.
I look forward to deepening my practice and sharing with you.
